I made these for around the office. The DSB dawg is our mascot and the other image is Matt, the webmaster from upstairs.

1st attempt at jumping back on the 35mm film horse. I managed to rip the film in the camera, and ruined a couple frames but some came out. These images were from a romantic stroll that Nick, Trevor, and I took along the Linconville beach. I was almost lost forever in a sinkhole.

An artist came through and taught a class along with giving a lecture of his work here. He was fond of using filters so I was tempted to go out and fart around with my circular polarizer and diffusion filter.

Try numero uno.

This beach is about 15 minutes north of Rockport. The tide almost trapped me on this sandbar but I evaded it. (I definitely have wet shoes for the day now)

Apparently the weather forecast this month was FOG. Everywhere you go near the water has a healthy serving of pea soup.

Trail of a small shelled beach creature in the sand.

That's right, boats are everywhere. They have them scattered all over the land and the sea around here. There seems to a 2 functioning boats to every one that is in disrepair high and dry. They use the stilt support thingies to hold the up and work on them.

Behold: Kate Izor, the person responsible for my current location (besides my amazing teachers, Jay Gould,Frank Hamrick, who set up my interview and got me to SPE in the first place). She interviewed me at SPE (Society for Photographic Education) in Denver, CO for my position at MMW (Maine Media Workshops). She's one of the most high energy people I have ever met. In this picture, Kate was introducing Jean Miele, a visiting artist/ teacher for MMW, at one of the weekly guest lectures in the gallery.
Here's a little color for those monochromatically impaired.
Here is one of the gagillion harbors around the area.  This particular one is right behind Union Hall which is a gallery space and studio for MMW (my internship).

Adventures in the Maine Land

Along the way on our 2000 mile journey, Andy and I stopped in a little of college town of Carlisle, Pennsylvania. There, we encountered a band of Turtle abducting aliens over Casey Lard's parents' front yard.
